Technical Consultant

Location: Northern Europe

Reports to: Director of Technical Sales

Main purpose: The primary purpose of the Technical Consultant is to support, promote and grow the sale of the company’s products & services by utilising a solid technical understanding with strong business acumen. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • To attend meetings with potential and existing clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
  • Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
  • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
  • Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations
  • Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
  • Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
  • Sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Provide accurate and timely management information, to include – activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
  • To structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to clients
  • Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery
  • Ability to demonstrate products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge
Technical expertise

  • A good understanding of IP Networks, VLAN’s, switching and IP protocols
  • A strong knowledge of Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi standards
  • A good understanding of TV reception, broadcast and delivery methods
  • A good knowledge of the hospitality Industry and a good understanding of how to work within it
  • A strong knowledge of Quadriga’s current product range
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint

  • Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
  • Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • A willingness to constantly expand and develop your own personal knowledge base
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at a variety of levels and work closely with commercial departments such as sales, operations and product
  • A valid Passport
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel through sales territory
